Best months of selling.

We have just completed what are historically the very best months of the year for Real Estate here in Menomonee Falls. June and July are typically the most productive months. I just ran the numbers off the MLS for January 1 to August 15, 2008 and they are ahead of last year. Average price is up along with days on the market. We are not quite up to the average price from 3 years ago but we should see an improvement from last year.

I have not checked any other area markets on a city wide basis but the CMA’s I have run on neighborhoods has shown that the prices on suburban homes are increasing.

You can request an area and city wide analysis for any southeastern Wisconsin location by contacting me at anytime. I can usually have the figures e-mailed to you within a day or two. Market conditions can differ dramatically from one block to the next. That is why it is important to know the area and have a back ground on historic sales figures. We can not determine what may happen to property values in the future but based on historic figures we can recognize and report trends that are common for a particular neighborhood.
